ABOUT ROBERT ETOLL
Film & Television Composer/Record Producer/Songwriter
Career Overview
Film and television composer, record producer, songwriter - you name it,
Robert Etoll does it and does it well. His dynamic musical talents can be
heard on projects as diverse as recordings by Reba McEntire and Jennifer
Love Hewitt, as well as work for film directors Steven Spielberg and Garry
Marshall. Robert composed and performed the successful feature films The
Danger Zone and Vampire at Midnight, and has scored a number of TV shows.
In short, his work has pervaded television, radio, cinema and the record
charts for years.
Film & Television Composer
Robert has scored a number of full-length feature films, documentaries and
TV shows, including Paramount Pictures' Running Cool and various music and
songs for Gary Marshall¹s The Princess Diaries 2 and Exit to Eden, not to
mention the full scores and songs for cult classics The Danger Zone and
Vampire at Midnight. A trip to England was required to complete the score
for Never Say Never Mind. Etoll's music for the Discovery Channel's The
Impostors and The Power of Music has received rave reviews. Also for The
Discovery Channel, he composed various cues for Before We Ruled the Earth
and Red Flag. A few years ago, Robert traveled to Japan to score 52
episodes of an animated cartoon series called Zoids. The show was such a
success in Japan that it is now playing here in the States on the Cartoon
Network daily. Also playing regularly and featuring Etoll's music are
various episodes of Fox Sports Net's Beyond the Glory and ESPN's Sport
Century: A Year in Review as well as the theme song for the #1 game show
for The Game Show Network, Lingo.
Trailers & TV Spots
After scoring his first trailer for the marketing campaign of Francis Ford
Coppola's The Godfather Part 3, Robert found a highly successful niche as
one of the top calls in Hollywood for special scoring of trailers and TV
spots for the film industry. His music has helped the promotion of more
than 300 films, including: Spiderman 2, Kingdom of God, House of Flying
Daggers, Batman Begins, The Manchurian Candidate, Bridget Jones's Diary,
Chocolat, Boys Don't Cry, Dead Man Walking, Erin Brockovich, Fight Club,
Indecent Proposal, Minority Report, The Cider House Rules, The Mask of
Zorro, The People vs. Larry Flint, Unfaithful, The Usual Suspects, X-Men
and many TV promo spots including American Idol, CSI:Miami, Boston Public,
24, House, The OC and Steven Spielberg's High Incident for DreamWorks
Television (plus many more).
Songwriter/Producer
As a songwriter/producer, Robert wrote and produced seven
songs for Jennifer Love Hewitt's debut CD, and is well represented on Reba
McEntire's Grammy-nominated album Reba (which was No. 1 for eight weeks)
with his song "Silly Me." He wrote and produced five songs (including her
first hit single, "Time") for Harumi Tsuyuzaki, now a Japanese pop star.
Crusader Records artist Debrae has just finished her debut CD, Desperate
Heart, with Etoll producing all 11 songs and co-writing four, including the
first single, "Take Me Now."
