The Foley Collection is a collection for use in feature films, video games, television, broadcast, the Web and audio recordings. The library's contents are provided as 16 bit / 44.1 kHz broadcast wav files on DVD ROM. It was developed by Frank Serafine, a recognized leader in the field of motion picture sound design and production library music.

Foley is the art of heightening the sense of reality in a film. It makes the sounds of the various visual props and objects come to life. Many times it is not possible to get the best quality recordings on a film production set when everyone is also concentrating on the dialog recording. This means that many of the outside sound elements fall short. This is where the Foley Collection is most useful. The transparent effects needed to make your picture come to life are all part of this collection.

This library is detailed and comprehensive - it offers a large staple of elements required for meticulous sound editing, including doors, footsteps and props. The sounds are presented as full spectrum raw samples that you can use as editing building blocks. There are many derivations and multiple combinations of a given set of sounds, and more than 2000 pristine samples are available to choose from.
